Song, Liang(宋亮), PhD, Professor

Liang Song, Ph.D., is Professor at SIAT, CAS and founding directors of The Research Lab for Biomedical Optics, and The Shenzhen Key Lab for Molecular Imaging. Prior to joining SIAT, he studied at Washington University, St. Louis and received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. He has authored >40 peer-reviewed journal articles in Advanced Functional Materials, Optics Letters, Biomaterials etc., which have been cited by prestigious journals such as Science and Nature Medicine (as in 08/2016, total citations>850; h-index: 17). He has invented and developed multiple novel photoacoustic imaging technologies and been awarded >10 US and Chinese invention patents, for example: (1) optical-resolution intravascular photoacoustic endomicroscopy aiming for the identification of vulnerable plaques; (2) fully integrated photoacoustic/two-photon microscopy that can potentially open up new avenues for multi-contrast sub-cellular biomedical imaging; (3) handheld, real-time photoacoustic imaging system for cancer theranostics. His research on photoacoustics has been supported by the NSFC (including the National Key Instrumentation R&D Grant and National Excellent Young Scholar Award), the MOST of China, the local governments, and the industry.
宋亮,博士,研究员。中科院深圳先进技术研究院生物医学光学研究室主任,深圳分子影像学重点实验室主任。国家优秀青年科学基金、广东省首批科技创新青年拔尖人才及深圳市青年科技奖获得者,深圳市“孔雀计划”海外高层次引进人才。2003年毕业于武汉大学,后赴香港中文大学和美国学习,2010年毕业于美国华盛顿大学(Wash. Univ., St. Louis),获生物医学工程博士学位,导师为国际医学光声成像领域的开拓者汪立宏教授。目前担任中国生物医学工程学会青年工作委员会委员、生物医学光子学分会委员、中华医学会激光医学分会委员、中国科学院青年创新促进会会员。主持国家自然科学基金国家重大科研仪器研制(2014年全国共64项,资助率10%)、科技部国际合作、粤港合作,以及深圳市和企业的各级科研项目10余项。担任Elsevier出版的首个光声领域专业学术期刊Photoacoustics编委,以及IEEE TMI、Scientific Reports、Opt Lett等20余家国际著名SCI期刊审稿人;在Advanced Functional Materials等国际著名SCI期刊发表论文40余篇,被包括ScienceNature Medicine在内的知名期刊引用850余次(h指数17);申请美国发明专利2项(授权1项),中国发明专利20余项(授权10项)。从事光学和超声医学成像技术的研发及相关医学应用研究超过10年,曾成功带领团队率先研发出光学分辨率的血管内光声成像系统;发明和研发了首台光声/双光子显微成像系统;研发了用于肿瘤淋巴转移无创成像的实时手持式光声成像系统,具有丰富的创新医疗技术研发和临床转化经验。

  • Zheng, Wei(郑炜), PhD, Professor

    Wei Zheng, Ph.D, professor, received his B.S. degree in Optical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2003, his Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2011. His research focuses on biomedical optics, including fluorescence spectroscopy, fluorescence microscopy and nonlinear optical microscopy.
    He has developed a series of novel multi-photon excitation microscopy system to study the feasibility of noninvasive diagnosis of precancer based on the biological autofluorescence. For the first time, he discovered and demonstratedthat hemoglobin can emit the Soret autofluorescence via two-photon excitation.His current study is to develop novel biomedical imagingmethods that would aid in the understanding and diagnosis of various diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular diseases. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 journal and conference articles. He is a member of Optical Society of America, a senior member of Chinese Optical Society and a senior member of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering.



    郑炜, 博士,研究员,广东省“特支计划”青年拔尖人才,深圳市“孔雀计划”海外高层次人才。2003年毕业于浙江大学,获光电信息工程专业学士学位。2011 年于香港科技大学电子与电机工程专业获博士学位,并于同年加入中科院深圳先进技术研究院任副研究员。主要研究方向为生物医学光子学,荧光多参量显微成像技 术及应用,以及非线性光学显微技术及应用等。已发表SCI论文20余篇,其中作为一作、并列一作或通讯作者的文章9篇。已申请专利12项,授权5项。主持 及完成项目包括:国家自然科学基金两项(面上、青年),广东省自然科学基金一项,深圳市科创委研究项目两项。同时作为研究骨干参与973项目、中科院重点 实验室项目和深圳市重点实验室等项目多项。

  • Chu, Jun(储军), PhD, Professor

    Jun Chu received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009, did his postdoctoral researchin Jeanny Hardy lab at University of Massachusetts, Amherstfrom 2009 to 2010 and Michael Lin lab at Stanford University from 2010 to 2015.
    He has developedseveral novel fluorescent proteins (FPs) and FP-based biosensors. 1) afar-red bimolecular fluorescence complementation system (BiFC) that works very well under cell physiological conditions, which could be used for monitoring protein-protein interaction in vivo; 2)a GFP-based caspase-3 indicator(CA-GFP) with large dynamic range, which potentially can be used for visualization of cell’s spontaneous apoptosis during embryo and neuron development; 3) a brightest far-red FP, mCardinal, providing a useful tool for optical imaging in vivo; 4)a large Stokes shift orange FP (CyOFP), which can be excited together with GFP using single wavelength, allowing simultaneous visualization of two molecular events under two photon excitation in vivo; and 5) a green FP-red FP based FRET (fluorescence resonance energy transfer) pair (Clover3-mRuby3) with large dynamic range, which is useful for detecting weak or transient biochemical responses in living cells. He has first-authored and co-authored more than 15 journal and conference articles including one Nature Methods, 2 U.S. patents and one invited book chapter. He is a member of Biophysical Society and Protein Society.
    His current research interests include engineering of novel infra-red FPs for optical imaging and red-absorbing chromoproteins for photoacoustic imaging, engineering of novel large Stokes shift FPs for two photon imaging, improving existing FRET pairs and development of FRET biosensors for kinases, and development of new optogentic tools for perturbing the signaling pathway in living cells.

    储军,博士,研究员,2009 年获华中科技大学生物医学工程博士,于2009~2015年在美国麻省大学阿莫思特分校和斯坦福大学进行了博士后研究。开发了具有不同光学性能的荧光蛋白 和基于荧光蛋白的探针。主要包括:1)发展了新型的可用于蛋白相互作用监测的远红色荧光互补系统;2)发展了能够用于高灵敏监测细胞凋亡过程中 caspase-3活性的新探针;3)发展了目前最亮的可用于在体荧光成像的远红色荧光蛋白;4)发展了能够和GFP联合可用于双光子双色成像的大 stokes位移的橙色蛋白;5)发展了具有高动态范围的FRET荧光蛋白对。已发表或合作发表了包括Nature Methods在内的15篇期刊和会议论文,申请美国专利2项,发表国际著作章节一篇。现为美国生物物理和蛋白协会会员。

  • Gong, Xiaojing (龚小竞), PhD, Associate Professor

    Xiaojing GONG, Pd.D, Associate Professor,received his B.S. degree in Mechatronics from the Southeast University in 2000, and Ph.D. degree in Fine Instruments and Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2007.
    Since joined the IBHE of SIAT in 2007, Dr.Gongfocuses in the research of Biomedical Optics Imaging, includes Photoacoustic Tomography/Microscopy,Optical Coherence Tomography/Microscopy, Terahertz biomedical imaging, etc.
    Dr.Gong and his team, for the first time in the world, developed the optical resolution intravascular photoacoustic (OR-IVPA) imaging, high-speed intravascular photoacoustic imaging, full field-of-view photoacoustic endoscopy.And the team is working on the systems improvements, such as multi-modality IVPA, spectroscopic photoacoustic imaging, and the application research on atherosclerosis and tumor diagnosis. He has authored and co-authored more than 20 journal and conference articles, has 3 Chinese patents and one U.S. patent pending.

    龚小竞,博士,副研究员。2000年获东南大学机电一体化专业学士,2007年获中国科学技术大学精密仪器与机械专业博士学位。2007年加入深圳先进技术研究院,从事生物医学光学成像的相关研究。主要研究方向为:光声层析/显微成像,光学相干层析/显微成像,太赫兹生物医学影像技术等。
    龚小竞博士及其团队在国际上率先实现了光学分辨率的血管内光声成像,高速的血管内光声成像,全视场小探头的消化道内窥光声成像。目前正在发展基于光声的多模态血管内成像、光声光谱定量分析等技术及其在心血管、肿瘤等疾病的诊断中的应用。相关工作在包括Biomedical Optics Express、Journal of Biomedical Optics、 Plos One、Nanoscale等JCR1区高影响因子期刊发表或合作发表论文多篇,申请国际、中国专利10项(授权4项)。
    主持国家自然科学基金面上项目1项,深圳市科技项目2项;作为子课题负责人或核心骨干参与国家自然科学基金项目重大仪器专项、广东省中国科学院全面战略合作项目、其它纵向、横向课题多项。

  • Liu, Chengbo (刘成波), PhD, Associate Professor

    Chengbo Liu received both his Ph.D and Bachelor degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University, each in 2012 in Biophysics and 2007 in Biomedical Engineering. During his Ph.D. training, he spent two years doing tissue spectroscopy research at Duke University as a visiting scholar. Now he is an associate professor at SIAT, working on multi-scale photoacoustic imaging and its translational research. He has published more than 20 journal papers, and applied for 10+ patents so far. He is currently a member of IEEE, OSA, and SPIE. Besides academic research, Chengbo also enjoys playing soccer and many other sport activities.
    刘成波,博士,副研究员。西安交通大学博士,美国杜克大学访问学者,深圳市“孔雀计划”海外高层次引进人才C类。主要研究方向为跨尺度光声结构、功能、分子成像。主持国家自然科学基金项目、深圳市基础研究项目,作为核心成员参与973项目、国家自然科学基金重大仪器项目、重点基金项目、企业横向项目。担任Nano Letters、Theranostics等多个SCI期刊审稿人。已发表SCI论文20余篇,其中第一或通讯作者10篇,平均影响因子>6。申请和授权发明专利10余项。

    Wang,Liang (王亮), Assistant Professor

    Liang Wang obtained his Ph.D degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wuhan National Laboratory of Optoelectronics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2013. Then he received his postdoctoral training in Khuloud Jaqaman lab at UTSW (Dallas, 2013/10-2014/12) and Jon Cooper lab at Fred Hutch (Seattle, 2014/12-2017/05).
    He has applied fluorescence imaging techniques (such as FRET, FLIM, FRAP, and single molecule imaging) into cell biology research and also developed an optogenetic tool to activate the Dab1 signaling pathway in primary neurons. Currently his interest is to develop biosensors for small metabolites in cells using fluorescent proteins and to develop optogenetic tools to dissect the cellular activities quantitatively.
    王亮,博士,助理研究员。2013年获华中科技大学生物医学工程博士学位。2013年10月至2017年5月分别在美国西南医学中心Jaqaman实验室和福瑞德·哈金森癌症研究中心Cooper实验室进行了博士后训练。研究内容主要是将荧光成像技术(比如FRET、FRAP和单分子成像等)应用在细胞生物学的研究中,比如细胞自噬、膜蛋白胞吞胞吐和细胞膜受体运动等。另一方面的研究工作是开发一些光遗传学的工具用以研究细胞信号通路。

  • Li, Hui(李慧), Postdoctoral

    Hui Li received her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2015 and has published three SCI papers as the first author. Dr. Li joined SIAT as a Postdoctor in December, 2015. Her research interests focus on the application of multi-dimensional two-photon microscopy.
    李慧,博士后,2015年毕业于华中科技大学生物医学工程专业,获工学博士学位,以第一作者身份发表SCI论文3篇。同年12月加入深圳先进技术研究院,任博士后。目前研究方向为脑胶质瘤双光子成像。

  • Liu, Feng(刘丰), Postdoctoral

    Feng Liu received his Ph.D degree in Microbiology from Wuhan University in 2016 and he has published one SCI paper as the first author. Dr. Liu joined SIAT as a Postdoctor in June, 2016. His research interests focus on near infrared fluorescent protein and luciferase.

  • Xie Zhihua(解志华), Postdoctoral

    Zhihua Xie, PHD, Shenzhen institute of advanced technology, Chinese academy of sciences, Institute of biomedical and health engineering, POSTDC. Dr. Xie received her Ph.D. degree in Optics from FEMTO-ST institute (CNRS& UBFC)in France in 2016, her research focused on the development of fiber-integrated micro/nano optical elements, with the purpose of single colloidal quantum dot imaging in infrared range or fluorescence collection. In 2012, Zhihua Xie graduated from Changchun institute of optics, mechanics and physics, Chinese academy of sciences with master degree in optics, with the research focused on surface Plasmon nanolithography and the study of fiber-microlens coupling. Xie joined SIAT as a Postdoctor in November, 2016. Her research interests focus on the atherosclerosis plaque imaging based on intravascular photoacoustic technique. Dr .Xie has published four SCI papers as the first author, including Nanoletters, Optics Letters, etc.
    解志华,女,博士,中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院,生物医学光学与分子影像研究室,博士后。2016年毕业于法国FEMTO-ST研究所(法国科学院,勃艮第-弗郎士-孔泰大学),获光学博士学位。主要从事光纤集成微纳元件的开发,用于实现单量子点成像或荧光收集。2012年毕业于中国科学院长春光机所,获光学硕士学位,主要从事表面等离子体光刻,光纤微透镜耦合光学设计方面的研究。2016年10月加入中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院,目前主要从事动脉粥样硬化血管内光声成像等工作。并以第一作者身份发表SCI论文四篇,包括Nanoletters、Optics Letters等。

  • Cong, Bing(丛冰), Postdoctoral

    Bing Cong received the B.S. degree in computer science from University of Tsukuba in 2009 and the M.S., Ph.D. degree in Medical Imaging System Sciences from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He has been working as Postdoctor with the Graduate School of Medicine of Kyoto University for visualization technique of structural and functional bioinformation, for example, ultrasonic elasticity imaging and photoacoustic imaging, since 2015. His research has been supported by ImPACT and COI program, and he has published 2 SCI journal papers and 4 international conference proceedings. Cong joined SIAT as a Postdoctor in 2017, and his current research interests include the development of 360° full-view photoacoustic tomography as well as clinical studies for breast cancer diagnosis. 
    丛冰,博士后,2009年毕业于日本国立筑波大学,获计算机技术与应用学士学位。并分别于2011年和2015年获得日本国立京都大学医学影像信息工程硕士和博士学位,毕业后留校从事博士后研究工作。留日期间主要从事光声成像技术和超声弹性成像技术的数值模拟计算与图像重建算法等基础理论研究,并参与了与日本佳能和日立等公司合作的国家级大型光声成像技术的科研与产业化项目。2017年加入中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院任博士后,目前主要从事基于全景探测的环阵光声成像探头与系统的研发及应用研究。以第一作者身份发表SCI论文2篇,会议论文4篇。

    Jiuling Liao received his B.S. degree in Photoelectric Information Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2012, and Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2017. He has first-authored and co-authored more than 10 journal and conference articles, 2 Chinese patents. Dr. Liao joined SIAT as a Postdoctor in July, 2017. His research interest focuses on the application of multimodal microscopy.
    廖九零,博士后,2012年获南京理工大学光电信息工程专业学士学位,2017年获南京理工大学光学工程专业工学博士学位。已发表或合作发表期刊及会议论文10余篇,发明专利授权2项。同年7月加入深圳先进技术研究院,任博士后。目前研究方向为多模态显微成像。

  • Lin, Riqiang (林日强), Assistant Professor

    Riqiang Lin received his M.E. in  Mechanical Engineering and Automation from Shen Zhen  University in 2011. His research interests are mechanical  designing and mechatronics. His current research focuses  on OR/AR-Photoacoustic endoscope system design.
    林日强,硕士,助理研究员。2011年毕业于深圳大学,获机械工程硕士学位。硕士期间开展过基于光机电一体化的精密光学成像系统的研发工作,设计并成功搭建针对监测镍钛记忆合金微管变形过程的拉扭实验机。2011年3月加入中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院生物医学光学与分子影像研究室,主要从事血管内光声成像系统中机械设计和机电控制的研发工作。参与搭建国内第一台反射式光学分辨率光声显微成像系统,目前从事光声内窥成像的研究,已发表第一作者SCI学术论文2篇,申请相关中国专利十余项,其中已授权专利六项。

  • Chen, Jingqin (陈敬钦), Assistant Assistant

    Jingqin Chen received his Master's degree from South China Normal University in 2014 in Biophysics. During the M.D. training, he achieved the honor of “the third master's top 10 academic papers”. Recent years, his research interest focus on the synthesis of photoacoustic imaging probe and its biomedical application. Up to 2016, as first author, he published several papers in 'Advanced Functional Materials', 'Biomaterials', 'Nanoscale Research Letters', etc. In addition, he got the 2015 Excellent Youth Fund of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology.
    陈敬钦,硕士,助理研究员。2014年毕业于华南师范大学生物物理专业,获硕士学位。攻读硕士学位期间,主要研究课题是氧化石墨烯的绿 色还原及其传送和光热调控释放抗癌药物的研究,分别在《Nanoscale Research Letters 》和《Biomaterials》发表了一篇文章,并以此获得校第三届硕士十佳学术论文荣誉。目前的主要研究方向是纳米材料和纳米医学成像探针的合成与表 征、纳米材料的肿瘤细胞和在体毒性和治疗的研究。

    Tingai Chen received his Master's degree in Optical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology School of Optoelectronics in 2014. His current research interest focuses on Super-resolution structured illumination Microscopy imaging technology.

    Leng Ji received his Master's degree in Optical Engineering from Tianjin University ,key laboratory of opto-electronic information and technical science of Ministry of Education in January 2013.His current research includes Two-photon microscopy system and its application in oncology.

  • Guo, Yuqi(郭育奇), Research Assistant

    Guo Yuqi received his Master's degree from Jilin University in 2014 in Biochemistry and molecular biology. During his M.D. training, He was focus on exploring drug resistant molecular mechanism of clinical bacteria. He is interested in using some statistic methods to find meaningful characters. Yuqi is now focus on finding new fluorescent protein(FP) and screening mutated FPs. FPs with better qualities and characters will be applied to improve photoacoustic imaging. He works as a research assistant at SIAT in Dr. Chu lab.
    郭育奇,硕士,研究助理。2014年毕业于吉林大学生物化学与分子生物学专业,获硕士学位;硕士期间主要从事细菌耐药分子机制的研究。目前研究方向:新型荧光蛋白的发现和突变筛选,及荧光蛋白分子光声成像技术的研究。

  • Zhang, Chuqiu (张楚秋), Research Assistant

    Zhang Chuqiu received her Master's degree of Microbiology from Jinan University in 2015. During the Msc. training, she focused her research on the 'Construction and expression of plasmid vector in yeasts and Escherichia Coli and enhanced enzymatic hydrolysis of sugarcane bagasse hemicellulose using recombinant enzyme', and got two papers pulished in 'Industrial crops and products' and 'Journal of Lanzhou University', respectively. Currently, her research interests mainly center on the mutation screening and application of fluorescent protein.
    张楚秋,硕士,研究助理。2015年毕业于暨南大学微生物专业,获硕士学位。攻读硕士学位期间,主要研究课题 是在酵母和大肠杆菌中重组表达质粒载体,并使用重组表达的酶提高半纤维素酶法水解的效率,分别在《Industrial crops and products》和《兰州大学学报》发表了文章。目前的主要研究方向是荧光蛋白的突变筛选及其应用。

    Xing Muyue received her Master's degree of Optical Engineering from Nankai University in 2016. During the Msc. training, she focused her research on the optical design. Currently, her research interests mainly center on the the built of the  transrectal ultrasonography probe based handheld photoacoustic tomography system.
    邢沐悦,硕士,助理研究员。2016年毕业于南开大学光学工程专业,获硕士学位。攻读硕士学位期间,主要研究方向是光学设计。目前的主要从事基于经直肠内窥阵列式光声成像系统的搭建。

  • Bai,Yuanyuan(白园园), Research Assistant

    Yuanyuan Bai, received her Master's degree in Optics from Zhejiang University in 2015. Her previous invetigation was about the high sensitivity Optically Pumped  Atomic Magnetometer,used for the cardiomagnetic field detection. Her current research interest focuses on the built of the linear-array based handheld photoacoustic tomography system and it's applications on the tumor margin detection and intraoperative guidance.
    白园园,硕士,研究助理,2015年毕业于浙江大学物理系光学研究所,主要研究内容为用于心磁测量的高灵敏度光泵原子磁力仪。目前主要从事基于线阵的手持式光声成像系统的搭建工作以及肿瘤边缘检测、术中导航相关的应用研究。

  • Shu, Chengyou(舒承有), Research Assistant

    Shu Chengyou received his Master’s degree of aeronautical engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2016. During the Msc.training, he focused his research on the ‘research and application of piezoelectric actuator’, and got two papers pulished in ‘Ultrasonics’ and ‘Smart Materials and Structures’, respectively. Currently, his research interests mainly center on the application of intravascular photoacoustic image.
    舒承有,硕士,研究助理。2016年毕业于南京航空航天大学航空工程专业,获硕士学位。攻读硕士期间,主修课题是压电作动器的研究及应用,分别在《Ultrasonics》和《Smart materials and structures》发表了文章。目前主要研究方向是光声血管内影像及其应用。

    Yufeng Gao obtained my master's degree at Harbin Institute of Technology in Jan, 2017. His current research interest focuses on research on wavefront correction of two photo microscopy based on adaptive optics.
