Dr. Liu Chengbo is a Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, and recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientist Award. He serves as an editorial board member for the JCR Q1 journal "Photoacoustics," and is the Associate Editor of the journal "Biophotonics Discovery." He also holds the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the Biomedical Photonics Branch of the Chinese Optical Society and has been recognized as a Senior Member by SPIE/OSA/IEEE. 

Dr. Liu received his Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2007, and completed his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the same university in 2012. He conducted joint training at ** Duke University from 2009 to 2011. His primary research focuses on photoacoustic imaging technology and instruments, as well as translational research. He proposed a theoretical method for zero-background targeted photoacoustic imaging and developed micro/meso/macro-scale photoacoustic imaging instruments, achieving imaging of peripheral blood vessels in humans.

Dr. Liu has led several research projects, including those funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has also served as the responsible collaborator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and major instrument development programs. He has published over 100 SCI papers, with more than 60 as first/corresponding author in journals such as PNAS. His work has been cited over 4000 times in Web of Science, with an H-index of 40. He has also been involved in peer review for journals such as Nature BME and Nature Communications.
