Recently, Researcher Liu Chengbo from the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, received an official invitation from Darren Roblyer, the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biophotonics Discovery, to serve as an Associate Editor of the journal.
Biophotonics Discovery is the second representative journal established by the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) in the field of biomedical optics after the Journal of Biomedical Optics. It mainly publishes innovative achievements in principles and technologies as well as translational applications within this field. The journal particularly focuses on the translation of original technologies and, at the same time, requires the original data to be open to readers. It represents an innovation by SPIE in keeping with the mainstream development trend of international journals.
Researcher Liu Chengbo is engaged in the research of photoacoustic molecular imaging technology and instruments, and promotes the clinical and industrial applications of related achievements. So far, his team has published a total of 103 SCI-indexed papers, which have been cited in SCI more than 4,300 times, and has been granted 21 invention patents. Researcher Liu Chengbo also serves as an editorial board member of the journal Photoacoustics in the field of photoacoustic imaging, a member of the program committee of the Optica Biophotonics Congress of the Optical Society of America, the deputy secretary-general of the Biomedical Photonics Branch of the Chinese Optical Society, and a reviewer for journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering (Nature BME).
